questions & Answers

where are you based?

For me, home is the big smoke of the Auckland CBD where I live with my Nespresso machine and family of plants. I travel near and far for all of my weddings, where are you getting hitched? Travel outside of Auckland is 90c per km. For weddings 2+ hours outside of Auckland, accommodation is needed for the night before and after your wedding.

How would you describe your style?

My style is cheerful, relaxed and romantic with an emphasis on letting you be you! I'm not big on posed photographs but will guide and direct you into positions that feel comfortable and locations with fab light. The look and feel of my work is very documentary, how the day really felt. I love working with couples who see the value in authenticity and feeling in photographs, who have full trust in my art, value what I do and are willing to give it their best.

With your trust comes true connection and this will shine through in your photos.

How many photographs do we receive  from our wedding day?

I usually deliver anywhere from 400 to 1000 images depending on which package is booked. If I have more photos than your package states I will include these in your set, the more the merrier!

How do you edit our photos?

Believe it or not, I use the same editing techniques across all my weddings and galleries. Each wedding looks different and that is because of three main factors, the weather, time of day and you! A cloudy day will look different to a sunny day and a golden bright sunset will be different to a cloudy sunset. A midday ceremony will look different to a 4pm ceremony, because the light has changed. Your colours like bridesmaid dresses, groomsmen suits, flowers and decor, will all contribute to the overall tone and look of your photos. I like to keep my work neutral, allowing the look and feel of your day to be the focus. I add a bit of special sauce so that your photos print with a bit of pop and that's all folks!

Do you photoshop our images?

The short answer is no. I don't airbrush or alter your natural look. I think you look incredible just the way you are.  However, I do professionally edit your images to be in keeping with my style and put a lot of time into this process.

How long will we have to wait to see our photographs?

You'll receive an online highlights gallery within 10 days of your wedding yay! Your full package will then be delivered online 6 - 8 weeks after your wedding with 1 year of hosting. Please save your photos in multiple places to keep them safe.

Do we need a second photographer?

All the work that you see here on my site, Instagram and Facebook was shot by me, as a solo photographer, without a second photographer. I was trained as a solo photographer and am confident in capturing the story of your day from a variety of views. If there are particular moments throughout the day that you are looking forward to being captured, please let me know. There is always a possibility of potential shots being missed and this is not guaranteed with a second photographer, in saying that, a second is great to have for more variety, more angles and could result in more photos.

If your wedding is larger than 120pax, I would recommend a second photographer.

If the Groom would like to get ready at the same time as the bride and your locations are far away, I recommend a second photographer.

Do we need to feed you?

Yes please. I always cover my lunch, but with spending so much of your day and evening with you I am not able to sneak away for a bite. If your package runs into reception, please have some dinner set aside for me, thank you.

How long Will Photos Take on the day?

Depending on your photo locations (if they are near or far), bridal party and bridal portraits usually take 1 hour. Be sure to pack some beers and a hamper and make a party of it! My aim is to get your shots then have you back with your guests as quickly as possible so you can focus on spending time with loved ones. I want you for a good time, not a long time ;) for helpful tips on timings check out my guide HERE

If we need to cancel or Postpone, is the booking fee refundable/Transferable?

Unfortunately no, the booking fee is used to secure your date only. This means from the time of your booking, I will turn down all other future enquiries for your date. Dates are incredibly key in our industry and when one is lost, I cannot recover it. There is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes once you book me, your deposit covers all the pre work that happens before I photograph your wedding day.

If for any reason you need to postpone or reschedule your wedding, a new deposit will be required to secure your new date.

Can you help with our timeline?

Of course! Happy to share my wedding knowledge and experience (I've been to a few) to help draft the timeline of your day.

Do you photograph engagement sessions?

Yes yes yes! This is such a great time for us to get to know each other and for you to get a feel for what it’s like in front of the camera pre-wedding.

How do we book you?

Drop me a line and we will set up a time to chat. I will then send you my agreement and an invoice for 30% deposit to secure your booking. Then you're all locked in and ready to go.
